Set deep in the forests of Upstate New York, Hannah Design Office’s Ashen Cabin is not a nostalgic woodland retreat but a bold experiment in design and materiality. Built from beetle-ravaged ash trees and 3D-printed concrete, the cabin straddles two worlds ruin and prototype, craft and computation, decay and renewal. It is a meditation on what architecture can become when ecological crisis is treated not as limitation, but as possibility.
